Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar (2018)
Move your character around the board picking up points and trying not to hit by giant fireballs.
Tim:
1/5 Poor
With all that I read about this online I really expect much more. Yes, it is a reprint of a kids game from 1986 that was later remade as a Kickstarter in 2018 with a cheaper version sold by Target in 2021. I have the cheaper version from Target so It may be influencing my thoughts some so YMMV. I knew the components in this version would be cheap, but not this cheap. They are so cheap, that the main fun of the game which is watching the fireballs roll down the island and take out people doesn't really work well and the fireballs just kinda stop. A large disappointment before you even get into crazy ideas like game balance, speed, and flow.
Laura:
1.5/5
I'm giving it the extra .5 because rolling marbles are fun. What a finicky terrible game! I would only play it again if the group I was playing with just wanted to destroy game pieces.
